Wissahickon Asian Cultural Committee Lunar New Year Celebration
On January 22, 2023, we closed out the New Year at the Wissahickon Asian Cultural Committee's first annual Lunar New Year Celebration. There was much food, singing, dancing, and music as we rallied the community to tell to our state legislators to support the inclusion of Asian American Studies in our classrooms in all grades, K-12, in all subjects.
Main Line Chinese Culture Center Lunar New Year Gala
On January 22, 2023, we joined friends new and old at the Main Line Chinese Culture Center's Chinese New Year Gala. There was Lion Dancing, Chinese Opera, food, arts and crafts, and more.
Upper Dublin Lunar New Year Celebration
On January 21, 2023, we celebrated the Lunar New Year with folks from Montgomery and Bucks County at the Upper Dublin Library.
Korean American Day - Philly
On January 13, 2023, we joined the 10th annual celebration of Korean American Day in Philadelphia. We had so much fun celebrating, meeting and making new friends.
Tredyffrin Township Community Day
Make Us Visible PA enjoyed meeting community members under the beautiful autumn sky at the Annual Community Day for Tredyffrin Township in Chester County, PA on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
On May 23, 2022, Make Us Visible PA held a rally on the Capitol Steps in Harrisburg in support of the AAPI History Inclusion Act (PA HB 1917).
The Rally was followed by a press conference in the Main Rotunda with bill prime co-sponsors Reps. Patty Kim and Todd Stephens, Stephanie Sun (Executive Director, PA Governor's Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs), and State Senator Nikil Saval.
Make Us Visible PA was on hand at the 32nd annual International Spring Festival in Landsdale, PA on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Make Us Visible team members attended the Community Hero Action Group's Health in Action Day on Saturday, April 23, 2022, along partners AAPI Montgomery County and Pop the Bubble.
Make Us Visible team members attended the Upper Moreland Equity Alliance Community Festival at Upper Moreland High School in Willow Grove, PA, last Saturday.
We were there to raise awareness about our organization and the need to include Asian American & Pacific Islander studies in Pennsylvania's public K-12 school curriculum.
